One Law I'd Abolish

Not so much as a law but a judicial practice of handing concurrent sentences rather than consecutive sentences to people who are convicted of a number of crimes.

In my jurisdiction if you commit a handful of crimes/offences you will get multiple sentences but you will serve them concurrently rather than consecutively.

This means if you get 1 year, 10 years and 5 years by 3 times for different offenses you will only serve the 10 year one as the others run at the same time and then you get remission of 25% for good behavior.

So you could have a total of 35 years with all offenses added up but only serve 7 years in jail.
