Fl Child Support | Child Joint Custody

fl-child-support

The amount of child support provided by each parents is based on guidelines defined by Florida law.  The guidelines are designed to make sure the payment amounts are fair for all members of the family.  The guidelines are used at three specific times in any child support case: when the support payment amounts are first established, every time the amount of support is changed and if there is ever a need to review the amounts to see if a change is needed. See also Il child support and child support interactive.

The guidelines consider three basic things to determine the dollar amounts.  First, they consider the income of both parents.
