There are a number of schools which can provide you with a degree or certificate in criminology. Criminology studies involve a wide range of basic courses. You will study everything from basic psychology to word processing depending upon where you decide to study. It is important to note that many certificates are not accredited and therefore are not recognized by most employers. However, they may assist you in meeting some of the requirements that you will need to get into the more advanced programs. (Take a look at careers in criminal justice and careers in law also)
